Hello Shiggy

Hello Shiggy

(Sung to the tune of “The Sound of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkel)

Hello shiggy, my old friend

I’ve come to run through you again

Your vines and thorns are softly creeping

Thru my shorts and socks the blood is seeping

And the nail, that was planted in my heel

the pain I feel

Within my sounds of screaming

In restless dreams I run alone

Narrow trails of mud and stones

Thru rice paddies and a sewer pipe

I pinch my nose when the manure is ripe

When my eyes were stabbed by the branch of a willow tree

That hurt me

And unleashed the sounds of screaming

And in the naked light I saw

twenty hashers, maybe more

Hashers running across the stony ground

Mud and shit that was a gory brown

I saw one fall in the middle of the dark and sticky hell

And as he fell

I heard his sounds of screaming

As I run along the trail

My eyes, this time, they did not fail

A whichy-way in the broad daylight

Pavement left and shiggy to the right

Although the shiggy makes me want to blow my load,

111 take the road “””

And skip the sounds of screaming.

“Fools” said I

“You do not know, where the prickly bushes grow

Hear my words that I might teach you

Take my arms that I might reach you”

But my words like silent raindrops fell

They ran towards hell

the distant sounds of screaming.
